About the Program:

"Portfolio management" is increasingly being promoted as a cure-all for many management issues. Is this a passing fad, or is there some truth to the claim? Why should project managers care and how will the trend toward portfolio management affect current project management processes? According to Steve Peterson, the answer depends on what problems are being tackled, what specific benefits are expected and how the process is implemented.

Steve will present a vision and case studies suggesting that federal, state and municipal government can use effective portfolio management to better justify capital expenditure, create alignment with government objectives, comply with regulatory requirements, and manage risk.
